1. What is this site about ?
As the title “MillionPixelDogContest” indicates, this site is dedicated to a competition among dogs (and their human caregivers). There are presently two different contests running simultaneously. The first is a Look-Alike Contest pertaining to the 15 adorable dog characters (13 breeds and 2 mutts) from the Biscuit Bunch of St. Amour's unique line of whimsically designed dog treats, Doggie Bis-Cuties. The second contest is a search for the next 3 members of the St. Amour Biscuit Bunch . Imagine the fun seeing a caricature of your dog with his own name and personal profile on a national brand of dog treats !! . This search allows the participation of any breed of dog except the 13 specific breeds included in the look-alike contest. Between the two contests every breed or type of dog can be entered.
2. About us
We are Susan and Daniel Nicolas , the owners of St. Amour, Inc., an Orange County, California based manufacturer of specialty baked goods. In business since 1993, we produce the ‘Rocks N' Rolls' low-sugar, low-fat French munching cookies and the Teethers, a very special, mess free teething biscuit for babies ( www.frenchcookies.com ) This year, in collaboration with renowned Laguna Beach artist Debby Carman who specializes in whimsical animal caricatures, we launched St. Amour Doggie Bis-Cuties, our newest line of charmingly designed, human-grade dog treats available in 4 ‘doggedly' desirable flavors. 3. Tell me about the contests
1) To enter your dog in the look-alike contest, look at the images of the 15 dog characters of the St. Amour Biscuit Bunch which are posted on the site. These 13 specific breeds and 2 mutts are labeled to indicate which breeds (or types) they represent. If your dog corres[ponds to one of those breeds or types you may enter him or her in that column by clicking on the first available empty block, starting at the top left and moving to the right. Each block consists of 100 pixels (10x10). Enter an image of your dog (Format jpg, gif, png, tif)
When clicked upon by viewers this image will enlarge to 300 pix of width
The area of text which appears when the cursor passes over it will display your dog's name which you will provide along with information that will NOT be displayed publicly in order to contact you in the event your dog is chosen as the winner from that column.
2) To enter your dog in the “Search for the next 3 Stars of the Biscuit Bunch” contest – go to that section of the site and follow the steps listed in the look-alike contest. For the search contest only you MUST enter your dog's breed or type (mutts) in the space provided under his or her name. Because this contest allows entrants of all breeds except the 13 breeds in the look-alike contest you must designate the breed of your dog.
The cost of entering your dog in either contest is a 2 cents per pixel or $ 2.00
As one entry consists one block of 100 pixels (10 x 10). Follow the directions to pay by Paypal. Upon verification your entry will be posted. Only one entry per dog and one dog per entry permitted. The contests will close and winners will be chosen and posted on the site when all blocks in the 15 columns are filled. * Winners will be chosen at the discretion of the judges whose decisions are final.
In the look-alike contest the selection of winners will be based on which dog, in the opinion of the judges, bears the closest resemblance to the Biscuit Bunch character to which he or she corresponds. 15 winners will be chosen
The 3 winners of the Search Contest will, in the opinion of the judges, be selected based upon the desirability of caricatures of their images to enhance the Biscuit Bunch.
All winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of the judges whose decisions are final.
4. Prizes
Each of the 15 winners in the look-alike contest will receive
A one year supply of Doggie Bis-Cuties (52 boxes) depicting the particular breed of that winning dog.

7. Advertisers
By all means we welcome advertisers and surely advertisers will welcome the opportunity to buy space on a site that attracts consumers. Especially attractive is the chance for Pet-Related product manufacturers and retailers to target an audience guaranteed to be dog owners. Of added value is the fact that categorizing the regional or local advertiser on the grid makes the ad much more accessible and user-friendly. One block of 100 pixels (10 x 10) in the section for local or regional advertisers is US $50.00 or $0.50 per pixel. The minimum purchase is 1 block. (100 pixels)
The minimum purchase in the top section for national or multi-national advertisers is US $100.00 or $1.00 per pixel. These advertisers do not have to be for pet-related products.
Pixels can be purchased until all blocks are filled.
8. How long will the site remain online.?
